Change your future at the American Diabetes Los Angeles Expo 2011
Learn how to eat and live healthier while changing the future of diabetes at the American Diabetes Association Los Angeles Expo 2011. The free Expo is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Los Angeles Convention Center South Hall K, 1201 S. Figueroa St., in Downtown. The Expo features more than 100 exhibitors, as well as free health screenings, healthy food sampling, cooking and fitness demonstrations, children's activities, bookstore and English and Spanish presentations by medical experts. "Diabetes goes undetected because of rising medical costs that keep many from getting regular checkups," said Reyes. Statistics show that diabetes rates in California have doubled in the last decade.
