Come Survey Historic L.A.

Councilmember Reyes invites you TOMORROW, June 24, at 7 p.m. to be part of Survey L.A., the City's first comprehensive historic preservation program. Join the Los Angeles City Historical Society at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Elysian Park as Janet Hansen of the City's Office of Historic Resources discusses this conservancy project. Flora Chou, of the Los Angeles Conservancy, will introduce audiences to the hospital, which opened in 1902.

Public Meeting TODAY: Proposed Bus Lane along Wilshire Blvd.

Councilmember Reyes encourages you to weigh in on the proposed bus-only lane along 9.5 miles of Wilshire Blvd. The bus lane, scheduled for completion by late 2012, would operate weekdays during peak hours. The public hearing is at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Westlake from 6-8p.m. TODAY, June 22.

Public Meeting: "River Revival for River Survival"

If you would like to hear the latest news on the Los Angeles River revitalization, stop by the Los Angeles River Center, 570 W. Avenue 26, in Cypress Park, on Thursday, June 24 for a public meeting. The meeting, "River Revival for River Survival," includes two sessions, from 1-4p.m. and 6-9p.m. The same format, a presentation, Q&A and information from River organizations and individuals, will follow for both sessions.
