Sanitation workers at the North Central District Yard in Lincoln Heights were highlighted in a recent Los Angeles Times article for their hard work and popularity among the community they serve. The article covered an open house hosted by the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation, one of several the agency puts on to promote recycling. Attendees who came to celebrate the hard work of these city employees were treated to a barbeque lunch, recycling-themed beanbag tosses, and free plants and trees.
