Weigh In TOMORROW(Saturday, Jan. 9) on Two Park Projects

This year is off to an exciting start with two parks in my district moving forward. Come share your ideas on these park projects at two meetings tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 9, in the Lincoln Heights and Chinatown communities.

In Lincoln Heights, the
Albion Park Project workshop takes place at 10 a.m. at Downey Recreation Center, 1772 N. Spring St. The 6-acre Albion Dairy site is the City's first L.A. River land purchase that will be used for a public park and model for natural water treatment. More information at www.albionparkproject.com.

In Chinatown, the Ord & Yale Street Park Community Workshop will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Castelar Elementary School, 840 Yale St. to gather ideas on a future pocket park adjacent to the Chinatown Library. For more information, contact Bibiana Yung of the CRA/LA at 213.977.7989 or byung@cra.lacity.org.

I like forward to working with you in the new year on these and more exciting projects in the First Council District.
